- Risk assessments and method statements — writing them and challenging them
- Managing high-risk work: excavations, work at height, confined spaces, demolition
- Occupational health, and the hazards that show up years later
- Leadership, behavioural safety and getting a workforce to actually comply

Continuous assessment through the week plus an end-of-course exam.
